BIM4WB

The overall objective of BIM4WB is to develop a curriculum and training materials to enhance the skills of students and professionals in the construction sector in Albania and Kosovo by incorporating Building Information Modeling (BIM) methodologies and technologies. This aims to address the knowledge gap in the sector, fostering a deeper understanding and effective application of BIM to improve quality, efficiency, and sustainability in construction. Through this initiative, the construction sector is expected to achieve higher standards in project execution, compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and overall industry competitiveness.

Goals:

The project is structured around the following specific objectives:

  1. Conduct a thorough analysis to identify the specific needs of professionals and companies in the construction and civil works sector in relation to BIM, in order to adapt the training of senior technicians to the specific requirements of the industry.
  2. Design and develop a curriculum and training materials in BIM that include both theory and practice, to ensure that the content is aligned with current industry standards and technologies.
  3. To create a BIM4WB platform as an easy-to-use, interactive online resource for sharing knowledge, resources, and best practices related to BIM, facilitating collaboration and continuous learning among VET providers, students, and professionals in the Western Balkans.
  4. Improving the capabilities of Vocational Training (VT) providers in the Western Balkans through specific training on the BIM framework and methodology.
  5. Implement a pilot BIM training program for both students and professionals, focusing on practical applications, current industry standards and emerging trends, ensuring they possess the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in the modern construction environment.
